Now that vacations and harvest time are over, the Christian community celebrates the seasons of thanksgiving and petition. For this reason, we dedicate this adoration to giving thanks to the Lord for the life He has given to us. It is a gift of His love. We want to thank Him for the sun, for the waters springing from the earth, for the flowers and the fruits of the fields, for the animals and for all men and women, our brothers and sisters. We want to thank Him because He is good to us and because his mercy extends from generation to generation.
- O God, come to my aid
- Lord, make haste to help me.
- Glory to the Father....
- As it was in the beginning... Alleluia

Silence for Adoration
Psalm 8
While marveling at the limitless grandeur of God, the psalmist is struck first by the smallness of human beings in creation, and then by the royal dignity and power that God has graciously bestowed upon them.
O LORD, our Lord,
how awesome is your name through all the earth!
I will sing of your majesty above the heavens
with the mouths of babes and infants.
You have established a bulwark against your foes,
to silence enemy and avenger.
When I see your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and stars that you set in place—
What is man that you are mindful of him,
and a son of man that you care for him?
Yet you have made him little less than a god,
crowned him with glory and honor.
You have given him rule over the works of your hands,
put all things at his feet:
All sheep and oxen,
even the beasts of the field,
The birds of the air, the fish of the sea,
and whatever swims the paths of the seas.
O LORD, our Lord,
how awesome is your name through all the earth!
Silence for Meditation
Take a moment to get in touch with the deepest part of yourself; be aware of who you truly are: you come from God, Who cares for you, you dwell in the center of God's heart, you rest in the palm of His hands.
The Word of God: Eph 1:3-6
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavens, as he chose us in him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and without blemish before him. In love he destined us for adoption to himself through Jesus Christ, in accord with the favor of his will, for the praise of the glory of his grace that he granted us in the beloved.
Silence for Reflection
- Your life is a call to praise the glory of God.
- Do you see this as a special grace that God gives you?
- Do you consider yourself sensitive and grateful for God's gifts?
- Do the flowers, the waves of the sea, the gentle breeze... speak to you of God?
- Do you consider it a grace of God that through baptism He made you his beloved child?
Petitions
- For the world and its wonders...
R/ WE THANK YOU LORD
- For all things you have made in wisdom and love...
- For the life you have given us and for making us your children....
- For all our brothers and sisters...
- For all the children who are born today....
Our Father
Closing Prayer
Thank you, Lord, for it is through your love that we live.
Grant that in your love alone our life may have meaning.
Through Our Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen.
